Only a very few families escape dysfunction. By one estimate, 98 percent of all families suffer from some dysfunction. How lucky for us, then, that so much help is available. Keeping this in mind gives us a much better appreciation for the role alcoholism has played in our families and among our friends. We are lucky indeed. We are healing. And we are helping others to heal.
