Feeling sorry for ourselves doesn’t change anything.

Accepting every experience as educational keeps us from feeling sorry for ourselves when our egos get pinched. We simply can’t get through this life without experiencing situations we’d rather have avoided. However, placing a value judgment on which experiences are good for us and which aren’t does no good. God is orchestrating our lives, and we do receive the education we need.

Deciding that every experience can be interpreted as good is no more difficult than believing the cards are staked against us. It’s a matter of outlook, and no one control it for us. We are in charge of our outlook. We can seek the humor or the lesson in situations, or we can feel victimized. We can’t change the situation, but we can respond to it however we decide.

Today’s Food for Thought:

God is my instructor. And my lessons today aren’t meant to hurt, ever, but to help me grow and change. I will trust them.
