For most of our lives, we have pushed or been pushed to persevere, to never give up trying to attain worthy goals. Thus learning now that we need to surrender to God’s will seems counter to all that had helped us succeed in years past.
What we come to understand is that we need not give up our goals; indeed, we should strive to accomplish them. But when find doors closing in our faces or get repeated rejections for our efforts, we need to look to our Higher Power for understanding. Perhaps our direction is not consistent with God’s will. Surrendering, then, becomes the solution. And the right goal for us will emerge. Getting on track with God will assure us peaceful well-being.
Am I in tune with God’s plan for me today?
