A slogan that can help us is “Keep an open mind.”
We’re often so sure we’re right, and sometimes we are. But the more we grow in these Twelve Step programs, the more we learn to let others have their own opinions. We also try to stay open to changing our own views when needed.
We don’t know everything, especially about what’s coming tomorrow. God only gives us what we need to know right now. What we learn next could change the way we think today. Keeping an open mind helps us learn from God and from the people around us who teach us every day. But we can only learn if we’re willing to listen.
