I love to create this green juice shake made from kale, spinach, cucumber, and wheatgrass. The nutrients in the juice help me recover after a tough workout. The Kale Banana Smoothie at LYFE Kitchen is very similar to my recipe and is fantastic. – Troy Polamalu

Drinking kale and spinach smoothies can easily help you meet your daily nutrient needs. For starters, Kale contains nutrients that can support heart health, lowered cholesterol, and weight management. Including several essential nutrients, such as beta-carotene, vitamin K, vitamin A&C, and manganese. (source)

Spinach is low in calories and high in fiber, making it a great addition to smoothies for those looking to manage their weight. It can help you feel fuller for longer, reducing the likelihood of overeating. Spinach is full of vitamins A, C, B6, E, K, and folate. It is also a great source of magnesium, potassium, iron, and calcium.

This leafy green tops the chart as one of the most nutrient-dense vegetables.

That’s because 1 cup (30 grams) of raw spinach provides 16% of the Daily Value (DV) for vitamin A plus 120% of the DV for vitamin K — all for just 7 calories.

Consuming this smoothie after a workout may help speed up the recovery process. Try eating food high in vitamin C, like oranges, with spinach to better absorb these important nutrients. (Source)
