Kale and spinach smoothie: A Luscious Immune Booster Smoothie

I love to create this green juice shake made from kale, spinach, cucumber, and wheatgrass. The nutrients in the juice help me recover after a tough workout. The Kale Banana Smoothie at LYFE Kitchen is very similar to my recipe and is fantastic. – Troy Polamalu

Meet your daily nutrient needs with a kale and spinach smoothie beverage.

For starters, Kale contains nutrients that can support heart health, lowered cholesterol, and weight management.

This leafy green contains several essential nutrients, such as beta-carotene, vitamin K, vitamin A&C, and manganese. (source) When blend together with spinach, a bit of apple, and a few other ingredient, the taste simply makes you feel alive.

Spinach is low in calories, but high in fiber. Which makes it a great addition to your smoothies if you’re trying to manage your weight.

Spinach helps us feel fuller for longer, and reduces the likelihood of overeating.

This stuff is full of vitamins A, C, B6, E, K, and folate. A great source of magnesium, potassium, iron, and calcium. It is by a long shot the most nutrient-dense vegetables.

According to Healthline, 1 cup (30 grams) of raw spinach provides 16% of the Daily Value (DV) of vitamin A, and 120% of the DV of vitamin K — all for just 7 calories.

Drinking this smoothie after a workout can help you to speed up the recovery process.

For crazy effective results, add a couple of oranges, which are high in vitamin C, to better absorb these important nutrients. (Source)
