PATIENCE’ THROUGH HARD TIMES
Be patient with yourself. Whatever your reasons for wanting to better yourselves — be patient with yourself.
Change doesn’t happen overnight; if you’re serious about the changes you want, you need to be patient with yourself and those around you.
The harder you work on this goal, the greater your chances of success. You can’t just sit back and expect things to work out how you want them to; you need to devote yourself to the task and give it all you have.

Self-Compassion During Hard Times
Self-compassion is about developing a kinder — lenient mindset towards yourself.
Beating yourself up when things don’t go according to plan will do you no good. Therefore, make an effort to correct yourself every time you believe that you’re a terrible person.
Instead, you can tell yourself, ‘I did something bad, but I’m not a bad person.’
Shad Helmstetter’s book says, “What to say when you talk to Yourself.” The brain believes what you tell it most of the time. And what you tell it about you, it will create.
It has no choice.
Telling yourself you’re terrible hundreds of times a day won’t fix your problems or make you feel better. So instead, notice the negative self-talk and how they’re serving you.
The best way to eliminate harmful and unhealthy patterns of thought and behavior is to ensure that they are never programmed in the first place.
